Sorry to say this will be the last post for Joy90

Due to personal reasons myself and Moschops have decided to call it quits

It's been fun whilst it lasted. My only regret is that we never got to see the finished game.

This is Mr Black signing off.............

Progress Being Made. We Promise!

Well once again, there is a large spacing between updates. Fear not as once again development is ramping up, not quite up to quarter pipe vert gradient but stuff is happening at a steady pace. Besides I'm sure I'd fall off a quarter pipe.

Since the last update we've focused a lot on guns! This has lead to problems ... stop right there! I'm talking virtual guns. Anyhooz, the problems were many and were to do with our entity system and our physics system.

These problems have now been solved by some rather funky if I do say so myself optimisations to the physics library to streamline the handling of bullet objects and also some tidy bullet management handled by Mr. Black.

I have also done the preliminary art work for the players weapons and Mr. Black is beavering away implementing the five(!) different bullet types the player will eventually get at their disposal (Screen shot soon, I promise).

Oh, and I'm finally making some enemies to shoot at too, it almost sounds like a game, doesn't it?

Behold the long awaited screen shot!

Yes its true, we have actually done enough to the game to be able to show you something. I know this news item is a wee bit late, I believe a screen shot was originally promised some time before the birth of Christ when the we site was still written in Aramaic.

Well its done, please insert fanfare music here. Below is a montage (yes we have gone upmarket in our language) of four screen shots each depicting a different level type and showing of some of the games graphical features. Clockwise they are image, text, sound and executable. Each one has a different colour scheme.

Well that's it for this time the next time you hear from us we should have the player weapons working, some time around the dawning of the 3rd age of mankind :)
